William Bird, the director of Media Monitoring Africa, referred to this decision as a “profoundly unfortunate decision” in an interview with The Daily Vox. “It means that a lot of young people are not going to be able to see it. The motivation for upgrading the classification appears to be not necessarily based on the content itself, but based on complaints and pressure from the public, and that’s clearly how these things should not be done,” he said.
