Media Coverage of Child Protection Week: Still Room for Improvement

Considering that Child Protection Week provides ample opportunities for the media to report on issues affecting children, Media Monitoring Africa (MMA) assessed media’s performance in highlighting the challenges that compromise the safety and well-being of children. The findings show that there was substantial coverage of children and issues affecting them during the period monitored. Despite this, more can still be done in some stories to sensitise the society and duty-bearers to the complex challenges that children face on a daily basis.
