Given that children will be expected to vote in the future, to ignore them would only discourage their interest and participation in future elections. Further, given that the solutions to almost all of the challenges being faced require long term plans and strategies, and given that children are the ones who will be most adversely affected by failures at all levels it is crucial that children’s issues are firmly addressed by political parties and by media in their elections coverage.
