SABC COO says TV Cameras, Reporters can Incite Violence at Public Protests

SABC’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) Hlaudi Motsoeneng says that broadcasters must be weary of inciting violence at public demonstrations.

This comes after the announcement that the SABC will no longer air content displaying violent service delivery protests.

According to Motsoeneng, violent protesters often feel spurred on when media reporters arrive on the scene.
